Snowball fight, anyone?
Decentral Games has partnered with Last Slice Studios, Vroomway, SpottieLand, and Knights of Antrom for a Goblins vs Elves Holiday Competition. Join a team, play various mini-games, and compete for prizes!
The competition will run from December 20 to December 23 with several ways to win:
- The team with the most points wins a Spottie WiFi Santa Hat.
- The player with the most points wins a Vroomway Vehicle.
- The top 100 players on each team win a Goblin or Elf skin and a $20 DG Casino bonus.
And much more.
Throughout the competition, you also have a chance to earn random wearable prizes from each mini-game. These wearables are a mix of holiday sweaters, skins, and other items donated by Decentraland community members.
On December 23, we’ll be celebrating with a holiday casino night. Come party with the community, enjoy live music from DJ TRAX, and compete for a $600 prize pool.

How to Join the Competition
Before you can start competing, you must first join a team.
Starting December 20 at midnight UTC, you can talk to Pepe at Angzaar to be assigned to a team.
- Travel to Angzaar (1,-82).
- Talk to Pepe at the Decentral Games poker table.
- Pepe will assign you to either the Goblin or Elf team. You can’t switch teams after being assigned.
The holiday competition uses a portable experience. After joining a team, you should see a new Goblin vs. Elves Holiday Competition UI (user interface).
The holiday competition UI will display your team’s score and buttons to access each mini-game. You must use these teleportation buttons for all navigation.
ImportantVPNs will not work with the holiday competition.
Mini-Game Guide
Once you’re assigned to a team, it’s time to start playing and earning points.
All mini-games will be active and you can play them as many times as you want. Some mini-games randomly drop wearable prizes, so keep your eye out!
All points you earn count towards your team’s total points. The team with the most points wins. There will also be prizes for the top overall players, top players in each mini-game, and more.
If you have any issues or get disconnected, head back to Angzaar and talk to Pepe to refresh your holiday competition UI.
Snowball Showdown
Attack the enemy team with snowballs and earn points for each one you land. Team up with a friend to freeze enemies for a chance to win random wearable prizes.
Each hit earns you 1 point. Freezing an enemy earns your team 3 bonus points.
- Use the Snowball Showdown Radar to see which scene the enemy target is hiding in.
- Click on an enemy target to shoot them with your Snowball Blaster.
- To freeze an enemy, you’ll need to team up with a friend and both shoot at the target. A freeze can only happen with 2 or more shooters.
If the enemy uses their wreath teleporter, then you’ll need to track them down at the next location.
Buddy’s Spaghetti
Help feed the hungry goblins by making a plate of Buddy’s spaghetti.
Collect the 6 ingredients around Decentraland and return them to the holiday chef to earn 25 points. If you’re lucky, the chef will also reward you with a random wearable prize.
- Collect the special ingredients from each location.
- Angzaar: Plate of Noodles & Chocolate Syrup
- Tominoya: Choco Candies (M&M)
- Vroomway: Marshmallows
- SpottieLand: Toaster Pastry
- Knights of Antrom: Maple Syrup
- Once all items are collected, return them to the Holiday Chef NPC in Angzaar.
Sleigh the Competition
Race Santa’s sleigh and collect as many wreaths as you can. Finish the race for a chance to win a random wearable prize.
- Talk to the Merry Meeple NPC at Angzaar to start the game.
- Navigate your sleigh and collect wreaths.
- Finish the course to earn your points.

Present Recovery Roundup
Presents were stolen and hidden around Decentraland. Find all 12 presents and return them to earn 35 points and a chance to win a random wearable prize.
- Travel to the locations and find the 3 hidden presents at each.
- Tominoya
- Vroomway
- Knights of Antrom
- Spottieland
- Once all presents are collected, return to Angzaar and deposit the presents next to the DG Snowman NPC to complete the mini-game.

Holiday Casino Night

Play casino games to score on the leaderboard and compete for a $600 prize pool. The top 10 players win.
The top 100 players from each team will get a free $20 casino bonus. Bonuses will be airdropped on December 23, a few hours before the event. To claim your bonus, register for the DG Casino and activate it in your account.
